1. Choose Your Product or Service
There are three fundamental steps to building a successful business. The first is to choose your product or service. Remember that the point of business is to get people to buy a product or service from you instead of someone else. So first, you have to figure out what it is you are going to sell.
Your choice does not have to be anything fancy. For example, have you ever heard of Poshmark? If not, Poshmark is an online social platform where people buy and sell used clothes. It does quite well. Whatever product or service you choose is one that people have to be willing to buy. So either find a need or create one. Then go meet it. Do that successfully and you are one-third of the way there.
2. Figure Out How You’re Going to Sell It
The second step is to figure out how you are going to sell your product or service. If you choose a product, are you going to sell strictly online?
